Abena’s own production facility in Denmark runs non-stop
24 hours a day, 7 days per week and 365 days per year.
Our non-stop production enables us to produce large volumes of high quality incontinence pads and baby diapers to keep up with the ever increasing demand. Abena’s state-of-the-art production facility manufactures an average of 300-800 incontinence pads and baby diapers per minute.
More than 50 years of dedicated work to reduce our environmental impact means that Abena’s Danish production facility today runs solely on wind energy. In this way, we are able give our products the cleanest possible beginning of their lifecycle.
A Green Danish Factory
It is at our production site in Aabenraa, Denmark, that more than 4 million incontinence products and baby diapers are produced daily.
Running a green factory means that we constantly aim to minimize our environmental footprint and reduce CO2 emissions. Our long-term work to optimize our production facilities according to internationally acknowledged standards for environmental management means that:
*CO2 emissions cover electricity, gas and oil and are calculated based on Energinet's and the Danish Energy Agency's standard factors. Calculations of kWh electricity to kg CO2 are based on Energinet's Environmental Declaration. Calculations from l oil and kg gas to kg CO2 are based on the Danish Energy Agency's standards for calorific values and emission factors.

Furthermore, both Finess Hygiene and Abena-Frantex are equipped with high-tech, state-of-the-art production technologies that ensure that all products manufactured by Abena are of same high quality!
